Glatt is not only the shopping centre with the highest turnover in Switzerland, but it is also one of the oldest and largest. In 1971, the Migros Genossenschafts-Bund, together with Globus and Jelmoli, began construction, and the opening took place four years later. Today, Glatt welcomes over nine million visitors per year.
In July 2020, Migros sold the shopping centre to Swiss Life. Wüest Partner supported the purchaser with comprehensive advisory and valuation services. The focus was on the analysis and valuation of the centre, and, in particular, on the further development and distribution options for the various investment vehicles of the Swiss Life Group. As part of the accounting of these investments, the property is also being revalued continuously by Wüest Partner.
